Wilt Tapped for
Farnese Hall of Fame.

B News

Grand Beach, MI- Peter the Great named the 2006 Farnese Fan of the Year and inducted into the Farnese hall of Fame. This announcement comes less than a month before he is inducted in the "Ring of Fire," Chicago Fire's hall of fame. Fellow Farnese commented that "Peter is not only the greatest Fire fan/Administrator/Marketer/Manager/GM of our time, he also an amazing Whitesox supporter. Our only regret is that B News didn't exist in the 80's because he would have been a shoe-in then too." B News would like to congratulate Peter on both of his inductions in 2006. We would also like to thank him for making a Chicago soccer specific stadium possible. The last two games have been great and we are looking forward to Tuesdays game in Bridgeview.

Over a span of seven years, Wilt guided the club to seven domestic Cup Finals, capturing four championships (MLS Cup in 1998 and U.S. Open Cup in 1998, 2000 and 2003), three division titles (2000, 2001 and 2003) and the Supporters Shield in 2003. Wilt saw the Fire earn playoff berths for six consecutive seasons, from 1998 to 2003.
Under Wilt's leadership, AEG-the Fire's parent company-and the Village of Bridgeview entered an agreement in 2004 to build a permanent stadium for the Fire in Bridgeview. The $98 million, 100% publicly funded stadium, TOYOTA PARK, opened just this past weekend before a sold-out crowd of 20,133.

HOLY sh@t!!! This is unbelievable. Thank YOU, so much. The White Sox and the Fire are the two great loves in my life, so the Farnese honor caps off an incredible month.

I wish I had known this honor was coming as I would have celebrated with you over some cold bottles of Meister Brau or Falstaff.

White Sox and Fire forever!!

This is a well-deserved award.
